UNetbootin allows you to create a bootable operating system on a USB drive without burning a CD. Can use regular ISO files or download from any of the major Linux and FreeBSD distributions (Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSUSE, NetBSD, etc.) as well as bootable system utilities for repair, recovery, testing, and more.
Also available for Mac and Linux. |
RTMPDumpHelper easily downloads RTMP video/audio streams used by live streaming websites such as Hulu, justin.tv, and others. Open a Web page containing RTMP video stream in your favorite Web browser and, while watching the video, it is saved to your disk automatically as .FLV or .MP4 file.
Works in combination with the proxy server toolkit "RTMPDump toolkit", which must be downloaded separately. |
Task Coach is a simple todo manager to keep track of personal tasks and todo lists. It grew out of a frustration that most task managers do not provide facilities for several activities so Task Coach was designed to deal with composite tasks. In addition, it offers effort tracking, categories, and notes.
Task Coach Portable includes a launcher to handle portablization. X-Task Coach is also available from the download page. Cross-platform (OS X, Linux, BSD, and iOS) with synchronization features available via the Funambol service. |
WinFF is a video format converter that can function on multiple files in multiple formats at one time. Includes the flexibility to convert convert MPEG, FLV, and MOV files (to name just a few) into AVI all at once.
The program is a front-end for the powerful command line video converter FFMPEG, and supports almost all it's available formats. Cross-platform (Linux) |
Universal USB Installer creates a "Live," or bootable Linux distribution without installation, on an external USB drive. A long list of distributions are available organized by the major groups including Ubuntu, Redhat, and SuSE, as well as specialized distros for system management, rescue, security, and more.
|
YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer) can be used to create a multi-boot USB flash drive containing multiple operating systems, antivirus utilities, disc cloning, diagnostic tools, and more. Aside from a few distributions, all files are stored within the Multiboot folder, making for a nicely organized Multiboot Drive that can still be used for other storage purposes. YUMI uses syslinux to boot extracted distributions stored on the USB device, and reverts to using grub to Boot Multiple ISO files from USB, if necessary.
YUMI works much like Universal USB Installer, except it can be used to install more than one distribution to run from your USB. Distributions can also be uninstalled. |
PicPick is a versatile all-in-one tool for images on the desktop. Includes a powerful screen capture tool, editor, color picker and palette, pixel ruler, protractor, crosshair, whiteboard, and more. Can upload images automatically to FTP, Facebook, Twitter, default e-mail program, or send to installed Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint). Supports 27 languages (including Chinese, Spanish, and Portuguese).
Alternatively, PicPick Portable is pre-configured for portable use and automatically adjusts paths. |
PeStudio shows details about applications (.exe, .dll, .cpl, ocx, .ax, .sys, etc.) without starting them including:

DesktopOK is a small, effective solution for users that have to change their screen resolution frequently. Additionally, the program will maintain the position of desktop icons.
